We recently received information from VISA that some of our debit cards could have possibly been compromised in the Schnucks security breach between November 2012 and March 2013. This is not a result in a breach of First Missouri State Bank’s security measures.
We have ordered new debit cards for all affected that should arrive by June 5, 2013. They will arrive in a plain white envelope and a PIN mailer will come in a separate mailing. Once both mailings are received, please activate and re-PIN the card immediately by calling the 800 number sticker on the card, by visiting one of our ATMs or by stopping by our Mount Auburn Branch.
The old cards will no longer work after June 6th and should be destroyed . Automatic transactions that are linked to a debit card number should also be changed.
It is important to review your monthly bank statements to ensure that fraud has not occurred. If a discrepancy is found, please notify us immediately so that we can research the matter further.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Please remember that this situation was not caused by a breach in First Missouri State Bank’s security. If you have further questions, please call us 334-9000, 335-9000 or 243-9000.
